The national story of the day was without a doubt the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns and it all revolves around football head coach Billy Napier talking about his players donating to Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation.
Lee De Leon, the executive director for RCAF joined Bumper to Bumper Sports and talked about how Wednesday’s meeting with the team went.
“I tried to give the players an RCAF 101 if you will.” De Leon said, “They were awesome. The football players were really attentive and grateful. I asked them what was the first thing you say when you see an RCAF member when you meet them and everybody said thank you. I said let’s make sure we show gratitude for these people.”
Things got a little more interesting after the meeting according to De Leon.
“After I got done trying to convey that message, Billy Napier got up and said, ‘Hey guys, this is really important and we need to appreciate them and show our gratitude and I would love for you to show your gratitude by joining as well. You don’t have to wait to be an alum, we can do this right now.’”
