The LSU Tigers football program might lose another key player on offense.
According the The Athletic’s Brody Miller, LSU tight end Arik Gilbert is considering leaving the program.
Gilbert did not practice on Monday. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron called Gilbert a “phenomenal football player” in his press conference on Monday.
“I think the more time we can get him the ball, the more success our football team is going to have,” Orgeron said.
This report comes after wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. on Nov. 29.
Gilbert has played in all eight games for the Tigers this season. He has recorded 35 receptions for 368 yards and two touchdowns.
LSU is currently 3-5 overall. They are coming off a 55-17 loss to No. 1 Alabama.
