The New Orleans Saints added to their running back room by claiming Eno Benjamin off of the waivers Wednesday afternoon.

Saints claimed former Texans’ and Cardinals’ RB Eno Benjamin on waivers today, per league source. His agents, @DrewJRosenhaus and @JasonRosenhaus, also confirmed the move.

The 23-year-old from Arizona State back spent his first year and a half (2021-2022) in Arizona with the Cardinals, then played a game last week with the Houston Texans.

So far in his young career, Benjamin has run for 418 yards on 107 attempts for three touchdowns. In the receiving game, he’s caught 30 out of 40 targets for 226 yards.

The move came because Mark Ingram was put on season-ending IR, which left the room grim and even more desperate for players.

Up next for New Orleans will be the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday as the Dirty Birds will travel to the Caesars Superdome for a 12:00 p.m. Kick-off.
