Not even two days into Saints camp and one of their star offensive linemen is out with an injury.
According to Dan Graziano with ESPN, guard Andrus Peat suffered a broken thumb. Peat did not practice in Monday’s first padded practice. Nick Easton took his place in the first padded practice.
The report went on to say he could miss up to 2-3 weeks and could possibly return before the season opener.
Peat, who signed a five-year $57.5 million deal with the Saints this past offseason, also played through a broken hand during the 2018 playoffs before missing time with the broken arm last year.
