The New Orleans Saints and running back Alvin Kamara have agreed on a contract extension, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The contract extension is five years and worth $75 million. Kamara will get a $15 million signing bonus and he will get $77.133 million overall. The 2017 third-round draft selection will make $34.333 million in guarantees, according to Rapoport.
Kamara is entering his fourth season with New Orleans. He recorded 728 rushing yards and 826 receiving yards in his rookie season. Kamara followed his debut year with 883 rushing and 709 receiving yards to go along with 18 total touchdowns.
In his third season with the Saints, he appeared in 14 games and started in nine. Kamara missed time with a knee injury. He still recorded 81 receptions for 533 receiving yards while rushing for 797 yards. He only recorded one touchdown last season.
