The New Orleans Saints received a very welcome sight on Tuesday as running back Alvin Kamara, the franchise leader in touchdowns, arrived in Irvine, California for the start of the team’s training camp.
Despite being in contract negotiations with the team and departing early on the final day of the minicamp, Kamara looks ready to partake in the first practice of camp on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old is headed into the final year of his deal which has a guaranteed salary. 2025 includes a cap hit of $25 million, but none of that money is guaranteed to the former third-round pick.
It is believed that Kamara is looking to get one more long-term deal before calling it a career and he has said in multiple interviews that he would like to finish his career with the Black and Gold.
