The New Orleans Saints traded back into the fourth round and wrapped up their 2016 Draft by picking a running back in the seventh round.
The Saints made a move with the Washington Redskins that cost them a fifth round pick in this year’s draft and a fifth round pick in 2017 and picked up David Onyemata from the University of Manitoba. The 6’4″, 300 pound defensive tackle who is from Lagos, Nigeria racked up 50 tackles, 34 of which were solo tackles last season with the Bisons. Onyemata also had seven and a half tackles for loss and five sacks in 2015.

The Saints then had to wait until the final round to pick Daniel Lasco from Cal. The 6’1″ 205 pound running back only played in nine games in his senior season due to injury and had 331 yards and three touchdowns off 65 touches.
