The New Orleans Saints have added to their quarterback room by signing veteran Andy Dalton, formerly of the Chicago Bears.
The former 2011 second round pick for the Cincinnati Bengals agreed to terms with the Black and Gold. The deal is only for one season, worth up to $6 million, with $3 million guaranteed.
In his career, Dalton has a 62.2 completion percentage, he has thrown for over 35,000 yards and has 226 touchdown passes compared to 135 interceptions.
Dalton will serve as Jameis Winston’s backup as Winston is still rehabbing from his ACL tear on Halloween last season.
