The New Orleans Saints suffered another tough blow to their offense on Thursday with the announcement from Dennis Allen that star wideout Michael Thomas is being placed on IR.
Thomas hasn’t played since the Saints’ Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Allen said during his press conference with the media on Thursday that Thomas had a setback in his recovery and will require surgery on a dislocated toe that will likely end his season.
Thomas missed all of the 2021 season after undergoing surgery on his ankle due to an injury he suffered at the start of the 2020 season that caused him to miss a good chunk of the season.
