A severe weather outbreak is possible across the state and Acadiana.
Damaging winds will be the main threat but tornadoes are possible too along with heavy rains.
Localized Flash Flooding is a threat in areas that receive over 2-4″ inches.
Schools to close on Thursday, Nov. 1, due to severe weather:

- First Baptist Christian School (Lafayette)
- All Sugar ‘n Spice preschools and Vacation Station
