Tony Robichaux begun his 25th season as the top dog of Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball over the weekend. He’s won plenty of regular season titles, conference tournaments, been to numerous regionals, almost a handful of super regionals and of course one trip to Omaha.
However, with all of that success, one would’ve thought ‘the big boys’ would’ve come calling and Robe would find himself in a Power 5 job. Well before the current facility upgrade of The Tigue at Russo Park.
Robe explains it best.
Just like Paul Mainieri at LSU, Robe is quite the competitor, but is as approachable a coach as I’ve ever had the pleasure of covering. One of my favorite things to do is talking baseball strategy especially with people who know more about it than I do. (There aren’t many. HA!)
With his knowledge of baseball and his catch phrase Robeisms, the Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball program is very fortunate that Robe has hung around.
