Some Acadiana teams were able to extend their season, while others saw their run come to an end on Friday night.
The Kaplan Pirates saw their season end on Thursday night after the game against Sterlington was moved from Friday. Sterlington defeated Kaplan 35-24 for their home postseason win.
Vermilion Catholic also suffered a second-round loss to Metairie Park Country Day. It was a close game as the Vermilion Catholic Eagles lost 21-19 to the Cajuns.
Carencro High and St. Thomas More were two teams that advanced to the next round after wins on Friday night.
The Golden Bears handled the Northwood-Shreveport Falcons in the second round. Carencro earned a 35-7 win over Northwood-Shreveport.
The STM Cougars did not let the bye week in the first round slow them down in their win over Evangel. STM beat the Evangel Christian Eagles 42-21.
