Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin declared Monday, December 16th as ‘LSU Football Day.”
In honor of the success of the LSU football team, and their first trip to the College Football Playoffs, I am declaring tomorrow “LSU Football Day!” Congratulations to Coach O and the Fighting Tigers!
The proclamation reads:
the Louisiana State University Fighting Tigers are in the midst of a historic
season; and
The Tigers are SEC Champions and facing Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff Semi-Final Peach Bowl as the number one team in the country; and
Ed Orgeron, proud Louisiana native, has been name “Coach of the Yea” for his outstanding leadership; and
Joe Burrow is LSU’s second Heisman Trophy winner, as well as being named the Associated Press’s Player of the Year, the Maxwell Award winner, and the Davey O’Brien Award winner; and
Wider receiver Ja’Marr Chase received the Fred Biletnikoff Award; and
Safety Grant Delpit was presented the Jim Thorpe Award; and
The entire LSU team and staff is worthy of appreciation for their passion, diligence, and teamwork in bringing positive recognition to the state of Louisiana
