The New England Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

New England enters this game off of a 10-7 win in the AFC Championship over the Denver Broncos. They had to win on the road and in the snow to book their ticket.

Seattle enters after a 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship. They used the home field advantage of being the #1 seed to reach this point.

Kickoff is at 5:30 and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.

BEEN HERE BEFORE

Super Bowl LX represents a rematch, as the Patriots and Seahawks have faced off in the Big Game once before. Back in Super Bowl XLIX, New England claimed victory in a 28-24 showdown.

That game famously came down to the end, when the Seahawks chose to pass on the goal line instead of giving the ball to Marshawn Lynch. Malcolm Butler picked it off to seal another title for Brady, Belichick, and the Patriots.

NEW COACHES ON THE BLOCK

Both head coaches in this game are in fresh places. For Mike Vrabel, it is year one in charge of the Patriots, a team he won this game for as a player. Despite being new to New England as the coach, Vrabel had previously taken the Tennessee Titans to the AFC Championship.

Mike Macdonald is in just his second year as an NFL head coach, both coming with the Seahawks. He has taken this defense to new levels, and the Darnold signing seems to have elevated this team and allowed the second-year staff to thrive.

REDEMPTION STORY OR SUPERSTAR ARC?

Whichever quarterback helps his team be victorious on Sunday will have a fascinating set of storylines around him.

For Darnold, it would be the completion of an incredible redemption story. After being cast off by the team that drafted him third overall, he bounced around before seeing success in both Minnesota and now Seattle. A Super Bowl win would cement his incredible story.

For Maye, this season has been a breakout in just his second. He has shown all the traits of becoming a perennial superstar quarterback in the league. A win on Sunday puts him on the fast track to being the next fully established star in the NFL.
