The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday evening. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. on FOX and can be heard on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles.
BATTLE OF THE TRENCHES
The Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in football with Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson leading the charge in the interior. They have been a crucial element in Saquon Barkley’s success on the ground.
However, the defensive front of the Kansas City Chiefs is super disruptive. Chris Jones is a nightmare to defend while Leo Chanal and George Karlaftis are likely the best duo in terms of getting after the quarterback. Super Bowl LIX looks to be a great battle in the trenches down in New Orleans.
MAHOMES VS HURTS
For the second time in the Super Bowl, two of the best QBs in the league will face off in Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes. Two years ago, these two put on a clinic as the Chiefs held on to a 38-35 win. Now, the Eagles have a better roster and will look to overcome the Chiefs thanks to the key addition of Saquon Barkley.
11TH TIMES THE CHARM
This is the 11th Super Bowl in the Big Easy, tied for the most in any city. There have been some historic moments, from Adam Vinateri’s walk off winner to the lights going out 12 years ago, there is sure to be a storybook moment between two of the premier franchises in the NFL currently.
