5. Wonderstrikes
The fancy goal is always worth screaming about, but when it happens in a big game with World Cup implications I like to stretch my “goooooooooooooal!” cry a little extra long. That is what I did when Michael Bradley nailed this WONDERSTRIKE against El Tri in the USMNT’s draw down in Mexico on Sunday.

4. Michael Papierski
LSU’s catcher was in two clutch situations during the Super Regional weekend against Mississippi State and “Pap” delivered in both of them. His sacrifice fly on Saturday night capped the most memorable inning of the 2017 season for LSU. Then with the bases loaded, Papierski put the final nail in the Bulldog coffin sending the Tigers to Omaha.
OH MY! 👀👀 Look at those numbers that Zach Watson, Josh Smith and Michael Papierski put up last weekend in the regional. pic.twitter.com/zCBRGPmeNH

3. Record Breaking Nights
The Cavs were able to finally get a win in these NBA Finals in Game 4 where they hit an NBA Finals record 24 three-pointers. I was certain this was going to be a sweep and the Cavs showed that they can be great at least once against the Super Warriors. That was an improbable night for Cleveland who is still alive going to Game 5. The impossible is playing like that for 3 more nights and stealing another championship from Golden State.

2. Mike Lange
How much fried chicken can you eat? The Penguins have won 5 Stanley Cup Championships and I am proud as punch to say I have lived for every single one of them. I am also proud that I have gotten to hear the greatest play by play in any sport ever, Mike Lange, call all 5 Cup victories. You can have Vin Scully and his great storytelling and give me a Mike Lange goal call forever and 100 years!

1. Back 2 Back
In a world with salary caps and in a sport where luck is involved way more than it should be in any sport, the Pittsburgh Penguins have managed to win consecutive Stanley Cup Championships for the second time in franchise history. They are the first to do it in the “salary cap” era and they did it with an iconic duo that has now etched themselves in history as the best tandem of superstars on the same team ever. Mario and Jagr can eat their hearts out because Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are what’s causin’ all this!
