5. Bizarro World
In the Pro Wrestling world, Canada has been labeled “Bizarro World” by many in the industry because of the different reactions of the fans in the True North and because of how many strange and historic things have happened there. New York state is the Bizarro World of MMA. From the strange illegal knee to head finish to the Weidman/Mousasi fight at UFC 210 to the “after the bell” kicks being allowed in the GDR/Holm Featherweight title fight at UFC 208, NY had already seen an odd amount of strange in 2017. Then Bellator invaded the Empire State and all hell broke loose when the most hyped prospect ever, Aaron Pico, was knocked out 24 seconds into his career. Fedor and Matt Mitrione had a Rocky-style double knock down, and Michael Chandler lost his belt to virtual unknown Brent Primus because of a broken leg. New York, I love you, but damn you are strange.

4. The Maniac
James Harrison is the 2nd meanest Steeler of all-time behind Mean Joe Greene. He is old and getting better. His most recent feat of strength was playing volleyball with a giant medicine ball.
3. Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling
I haven’t seen Wonder Woman yet, and I do not have immediate plans to. I will get around to it I am sure, but if you are like me and want to watch an empowering story about strong women but do not want to leave your house, watch GLOW on Netflix. Wonder Woman is a fake superhero, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling were the real thing.
2. Papierski/Gilbert
Michael Papierski’s two homers and Caleb Gilbert’s 7+ innings of shutout baseball were the two of the most clutch performances you will see in sports this year. LSU was up against a juggernaut and they needed someone to step up with an epic performance. They got two of them and seem to be a team of destiny in Omaha.
Big-Time Game… Big-Time Performance!

1. It Just Means More
The SEC slogan has never rang more true than it does right now. The SEC quite literally means more than all other conferences, at least when it comes to baseball because Florida and LSU will not only be playing for a National Title, but the definitive SEC crown as well.
