5. Sindarius Thornwell
The Johnny Castle of the Big Dance! He is the first SEC player to get over 100 points combined in an NCAA Tournament since 1996. He has led the Final Four’s most unlikely team to wins over Marquette, Duke, Baylor, and Florida. Nobody realized how damn good he was until the “Madness” began. Now we all recognize that Sindarius Thornwell is approaching legendary March status.
4. Bruce Arena
I guess it was just the weird German dude then? In his first World Cup Qualifier since he began his second stint as USMNT Head Coach, Bruce Arena did pretty pretty pretty good. Uncle Sam decimated Honduras 6-0, Clint Dempsey returned from nagging injuries to score a hat trick, and all of a sudden the United States BELIEVES again. Why did we even lose hope in the first place? I have 3 words for you: Scary. German. Guy.
3. WWE Style Booking in the UFC
Luke Rockhold was on UFC Tonight complaining about the very thing that makes fighters their money. Luke Rockhold was the Middleweight champ, but lost to Michael Bisping. Now that Bisping, a much bigger name is champ, he is only looking to fight big names. That is why he is defending against the legendary GSP next. Luke Rockhold thinks this is bad for the UFC, when in fact it really is just bad for those guys who don’t win or know how to promote themselves.
2. Waldos
Matt Canada is starting to make me think he is an even better talker tha he is a coordinator. When discussing his philosophy with NOLA.com last week, he said every defense, no matter how good they are, has a “Waldo” and that his offense is all about the “Where’s Waldo?” philosophy. There is something beautiful about LSU’s O.C. implementing the same philosophical tactics as the kicker in “The Waterboy.”
1. The Ultimate Thrill Ride
Wrestlemania is this Sunday. No event is bigger and better every single year. It is not just the pinnacle of Sports Entertainment, but when you get down to it, Wrestlemania really is the greatest thing humanity has ever come up with. It will be our legacy as a species.
