This week on the Fave 5…..I was right and you were wrong, LSU got the keys, and fashion! Turn to the left sucka!
5. Arden Key
Maybe Les Miles and Cam Cameron were so conservative at the end of that game because they knew they had the keys to success. Arden Key! He saved the game on Saturday with a sack fumble and he’s got a goal of 20 sacks this season and has 5 so far. Key will have to pick up the pace a bit if he wants to get there and obliterate records. If LSU gets back into the national conversation we are probably saying it was because of splash plays by Arden Key.
4. Sterling Moore/D’Vante Harris/Ken Crawley
While Victor Cruz was able to haul in a big catch at the end of the game to set up the game winning field goal, the three no name corners for the Saints had a very solid and respectable performance against Odell Beckham and company. No touchdowns, a forced fumble on a big catch and run, and the penalties weren’t back breaking; showing that the Saints might be just fine without Delvin Breaux and PJ Williams.
3. L.A. Rams & Minnesota Vikings
I was the only one in the Colossal Clubhouse Challenge to pick Hollywood and the Purple Reign, two teams making big debuts in a new city and a new stadium respectively. I used my world series of handicapping approved system of being smarter than everyone else. It’s too damn bad I’m too damn good!
2. DP
Dak Prescott engineered three touchdown drives of 75 yards or more on the road against rival Washington. The Cowboys avoided going 0-2 and are back on track. Fantasy worriers were concerned DP and Dez Bryant have no chemistry. That was squashed. DP and Dez hooked up 7 times for 102 yards. I’ve always respected Tony Romo but if the legs are fresher and the balls are this accurate I do not see why Jerry would allow Jason Garrett to go back to Romo. Also, I just noticed this, but doesn’t DP look a lot like DC?
1. Cam Newton
Cam came to the post game press conference looking like the guy who MC’s the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest. Last season I couldn’t wait for Cam to score to watch him dab. Now I can’t wait for the post game presser when Cam pulls the best stuff out of his wardrobe. I smell a Simpson’s cameo as a member of the Be Sharps or at least a duet with Fallon on The Tonight Show.
