It was a “prove me wrong” weekend and I most certainly was humbled. Making statements on the radio about players, coaches, and their schemes often makes you susceptible towards looking foolish. This week I experienced that first hand and now I am a humbled sucka…..
5. Carson Wentz
Wentz went 23/31 for 2 touchdowns and is yet to throw a pick. He beat the Pittsburgh Steelers so now I will concede that he reminds me of an a former NFL MVP QB. He is the next Rich Gannon. Dink and dunk it all the way to rookie of the year Carson!
4. The NFC South
With a win tonite, the Saints will not only get their first win of the season but they will also jump into a fatal 4-way tie for first place in the NFL’s most competitive division.
3. Vols
I didn’t think they could get that monkey off of their backs but Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers did it on Saturday with a come from behind COVER against Florida. First Wentz, now Dobbs. Once again I am humbled after a prove me wrong weekend.
2. Ed Orgeron
It’s the next biggest audition of your life Ed O. You probably are not being given a fighting chance but I believe in you because you sound like Ax of Demolition. Remember, remember the 5th of November Ed.
1. Jose Fernandez
Unreal to learn of the passing of one of baseball’s best people and stories. The fight Jose Fernandez had to go through to just get to this country in order to use his gift to give a better life for his mother was the stuff of legend. His style on the field was refreshing and he is one of the pioneers of this new age of young, brash, but respectful players.
