The Road to Omaha Goes Through The Box

Posted by clintdomingue on May 30, 2016 in Latest News

BR Regional

For the fifth straight year, the road to Omaha will go through Alex Box Stadium. The LSU Tigers found out they were the eighth national seed on Monday when the field of 64 was released.

They also found out their opponents in the regional would be Rice, Southeastern Louisiana, and Utah Valley. LSU will start the regional off on Friday taking on Utah Valley with first pitch set for 2 pm. Southeastern and Rice will then face off in the nightcap at 7 pm.

The Tigers are paired up with the NC State bracket that features Coastal Carolina, St Mary’s, and Navy. Should LSU win, they would host the winner of that regional.
