Welcome everyone to another edition of #TriplePlay!
Turn One: Getting the Monkey Off Their Back
Three series into SEC play, the Tigers lost their first two against Alabama and Texas A&M. LSU needed a series win and they finally got it with some timely hitting and decent pitching. LSU had been struggling with hitting the ball and in some cases with pitching, but they got things done to get that first SEC series win.
Turn Two: Romero Continues to Excel
Jordan Romero has been playing phenomenal ball in 2016 and was a huge factor for the Tigers in this weekend’s series. He accounted for seven of the Tigers runs with two home runs on the weekend. Romero continued to look really good and has proven to be a key factor for the Tigers winning games.
Turn Three: The Road Only Gets Tougher
The LSU Tigers are headed back to the Box after two straight weekend series on the road. Winning on the road this past weekend is huge for this team headed into a crucial series against sixth ranked Vanderbilt. The Commodores have only lost three games in SEC play and two of those were decided by one run. LSU is going to have to rely heavily on batters like Romero and the Jordan twins to get runs on the board if they want to come out of this key series against Vanderbilt.
