Earlier this week first-year LSU hoops head coach Will Wade joined “Bumper to Bumper Sports,” and Wade couldn’t keep from gushing over his latest recruiting pull – 2017 point guard Tremont Waters.
The four-star native of Connecticut may be sub-six-foot, but the Tigers’ bench boss sees that as an advantage for his new on-court maestro.
“He’s electric,” Wade said of Waters. “I think we’ve got some good perimeter shooting and some pretty good perimeter scorers, but that doesn’t do much if you don’t have anybody that can get in the lane and penetrate in there and create some rotation. Tre is electric with the ball in his hands. He plays so low to the ground, it’s really hard to get the ball from him.”
Listen in below for the full interview with Wade, in which he details one 2017 signee that has yet to report to campus this summer, and why.
