The LSU Tigers are staying at home for one more weekend after freshman Eric Walker put together a gem on Sunday against Rice.

LSU got on the board in the second with an RBI single from Beau Jordan. Michael Papierski and Jake Slaughter made it 3-0 later in the inning with a sacrifice bunt and RBI single, respectively.

Antoine Duplantis extended the Tigers lead even further in the top of the third with an RBI single.

Kramer Robertson put the finishing touches on the game with a groundout that scored Josh Smith to clinch a 5-0 victory over the Rice Owls.

Walker improved to 8-1 on the season allowing seven hits and striking out eight in eight shutout innings.

LSU will now take on the winner of Southern Miss and Mississippi State. Game one is slated for Friday with first pitch to be determined.
