The star freshman for LSU (10-4, 1-1 SEC) continues to show how good he can be on Saturday afternoon with a clutch three helping the Tigers get a 69-68 win over Texas A&M (11-4, 0-3 SEC).

The Tigers displayed dominance early on with a big 10-0 run to start things off. However, the Aggies weren’t going to be outshined as they responded with a 12-0 run to take a 12-10 lead with 12:03 left in the first half.  Both teams traded the lead for the rest of the first half and the Tigers were able to take a 29-28 lead into the locker room thanks to a three-pointer from Tremont Waters.

Texas A&M got out to a six point lead to start the second half and was able hold onto the lead despite LSU’s best efforts. After a rebound from Epps with 11 seconds left in the ballgame, Will Wade used his final timeout to draw up one more play. That play was to get it to Waters and he gave the Tigers a big win over the 11th ranked Aggies with a three-pointer with one second left on the clock.

LSU will return to action on Wednesday when they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (11-3, 1-1) with tipoff set for 8 pm.
