— Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher, or as I like to call him Mr. 7 – 9, made his way to number 3 on the list of Head Coaches in the NFL with the most losses. Not exactly the claim to fame a coach would want on his record. However, despite loosing more games than only 2 other coaches in NFL history Jeff Fisher has consistently kept a job…. WHAT UP WITH THAT???
– What’s up with that is even though Jeff Fisher is one of the loosingest coaches in history, in order to loose that many games you have to be a head coach in the NFL for quite a long time. There is something to be said for Fisher’s longevity in the league despite loosing as often as he does. I believe that it is Fisher’s old school 90’s football attitude that has kept him in the league as long as he has been. His career is coming to the point where he needs to start winning on a much more consistent basis, or his days as any team’s Head Coach are numbered. And that’s, WHAT UP WITH THAT!!
— Rex Ryan of the Buffalo Bills and his brother Rob Ryan, former Saints DC, have done a lot of things in their lives as a duo; including both receiving lap-band surgery. Recently Rob had life threatening complications with lap-band and had to have it removed. In solidarity with his brother Rex, who had lost over 100 lbs also had his lap-band removed. Rex also said that he found more success as a ‘heavy’ Head Coach than a skinny one. WHAT UP WITH THAT???
– Well, I can’t say I agree with Rex’s decision to remove his perfectly fine lap-band, but I can respect his reason for doing it. Rob having such complications with his surgery, and no doubt feeling down about having to remove his lap-band, Rex stepped in as a good brother should and took the journey with him. Whether or not you agree with Rex’s decision you almost have to respect it. What would you do if it was your brother? And that’s, WHAT UP WITH THAT!!
— Mississippi State Head Coach Dan Mullen went out on a limb, in my opinion, and claimed that his new starting QB Nick Fitzgerald is a better runner than his former, and current Dallas Cowboys starting QB, Dak Prescott. DP was a prolific runner in college and due to injury has found himself a starting job in the NFL as rookie. Dan Mullen saying Fitzgerald is a better runner than DP? WHAT UP WITH THAT???
– What we have here is a classic case of Head Coach hyperbole. Nick Fitzgerald did not even take the starting QB position through the off season, yet Mullen claims he’s a better runner than one of Miss. States best QB’s of all time. We should all be smart enough to know Mullen doesn’t really believe what he’s saying here, it’s his last ditch effort to motivate his newly appointed starting QB. And that’s, WHAT UP WITH THAT!!
