Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Poor Defensive Play
This team has a lot of issues, especially on the defensive side of the ball. This was possibly the worst performance for the Tigers outside of the Texas A&M game a few weeks ago. It just seemed like the Tigers could not get anything going defensively and that was the big difference in this matchup.
2nd OT: Starting to Find Their Stride From the Arc
The one positive with the Tigers as of late has been that they have started to find their stride from the three point line, most notably Antonio Blakeney. The freshman from Orlando has really come into his own as of late and tonight was no different, leading the team with 22 points and making four-of-six from the arc. It’s always nice to have more than one guy who can shoot it from long-range.
3rd OT: South Carolina Stays Classy
The fans are out in full force once again. Nearly every game that Ben Simmons plays on the road, he is met with a chorus of boos and continued chanting of overrated. Tonight was no different with the fans booing him every time he went to the line. That must have shaken him up as he went 4-9 from the charity stripe on Wednesday night. Add that to the fans chanting some things that shouldn’t be repeated in this kind of article, the fans are getting into the head of Simmons. I understand trying to get into the head of a player, but sometimes you go a little too far. But Simmons needs to realize that the fans are going to do this and start to deal with it.
