Welcome everyone to another edition of #3OT!
1st OT: Losing to Tennessee Without Top Players Is Unacceptable
The Tennessee Volunteers, who have a below .500 record beat LSU without their best player in Kevin Punter. And it wasn’t like the Tigers lost late like in matchups against Oklahoma, no they led for only two minutes early on in the matchup. LSU hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations all season and based off of the end result, the Tigers may have packed it in for the year.
2nd OT: Turnovers, Turnovers, and more Turnovers
One of the biggest reasons for the loss along with the Tigers not shooting well is because of turnovers. LSU committed 16 turnovers, 12 of which were in the first half. You can’t win the game if you turn the ball over that much in one half. I challenge you to try and win a game of basketball with that many turnovers. Especially with how poor the Tigers defense has been playing up to this point. Overall, just an all-around poor performance for the Tigers.
3rd OT: LSU Is NIT Bound
The LSU Tigers in my crystal ball, are out of the NCAA Tournament outside of winning the SEC Tournament. With the talent the Tigers have, the fact that they more likely than not miss out on the tournament is a complete and utter disappointment. If you have the talent, but can’t develop the talent to be good to great, then the problem might be with the coach.
