Posted by clintdomingue on December 7, 2016 in Latest News

Cajuns

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have been rolling to start the season and they kept it going on Wednesday night with a 94-60 over Loyola of New Orleans.

The Cajuns started off strong with a 10-4 run in the opening three minutes to set the tone, but the Wolfpack bounced back to tie things up about midway through the first half. It didn’t last long because the Cajuns were able to get it to double digits in the final minutes to head into the locker room with a 42-28 lead.

The domination by the Ragin Cajuns continued as they got it to 20 points within the first four minutes of the second half. The Cajuns were able to get the lead up to 30 points with two minutes left in the ball game and that was more than enough to win their seventh straight.

The Cajuns (7-2) will stay in the Cajundome to take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (5-3) with tipoff set for 7:15 pm.

By the Numbers:

19: Number of points that Frank Bartley and Bruce Washington scored in the win. They led the team in points on the night with Bartley getting 12 of his points from the charity stripe.

21: Number of points that the Cajuns got off of 16 turnovers.

16.7: Shooting percentage for Loyola from three-point range. In the first half, they missed all three of their attempts from beyond the arc while the Cajuns  went 2-for-7.
