As the regular season is starting to come to an end, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (18-11, 8-8 Sun Belt) are really beginning to catch fire at the right time.
A strong start to the game was all that they needed to take down Appalachian State (8-20, 3-14 Sun Belt) by the score of 77-62.
The Cajuns got out in front early and started out with a 9-0 lead with 16:31 left in the first half. The Mountaineers responded quickly and took the lead around the halfway mark.
Their lead would not last long though as the Cajuns pushed ahead and ended the first half with a 10 point advantage.
App State started out strong in the second half getting the deficit back down to single digits, but the Cajuns quickly responded and were able to get out to a 17 point lead with 10:25 left in regulation.
It was all Cajuns the rest of the way and were up by as much as 22 points en route to their fourth straight victory.
The Cajuns have little time to rest as they return to the Cajundome this Thursday against Texas State (17-11, 10-6 Sun Belt) with tipoff set for 7:15 PM.
