Down by 6 at half, Louisiana made 11 of their first 14 shots, taking a 48-47 lead with 16:53 to go in the game. A lead they would never give up.
Bryce Washington notched his 22nd double-double of the season with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
The victory gave the Cajuns their 20th win of the season and they are the 6th seed in this week’s Sun Belt Conference Tournament in New Orleans. They’ll play Little Rock Wednesday at 5p with the winner of that game taking on the 2 seed, Georgia State on Friday.
