When a team has only lost two ballgames in conference play, there’s a case to have two players making first team All-Sun Belt. So it’s no surprise that the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have Frank Bartley and Bryce Washington both named to the first team on Monday afternoon.
Washington averaged a double-double for the second straight season, averaging 10.6 points and 10.7 boards per game and Bartley was the big offensive player for the Cajuns, averaging a solid 17.4 points.
JaKeenan Gant racked up some honors as well on Monday, being named to the third team All-Sun Belt, Sun Belt Conference Newcomer and Defensive Player of the Year. The former Mizzou Tigers averaged 2.5 blocks per game this season, including a stellar seven blocks in the season finale against Little Rock.
The Cajuns will face off the winner of Texas State- Coastal Carolina on Friday in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with tipoff set for 11 am. Below is the list of the Sun Belt Postseason honors with Cajuns players listed in Bold.
