Louisiana Women’s Basketball Conference Slate Announced

The Sun Belt Conference announced on Tuesday the 2018-19 conference schedule for Louisiana Women’s Basketball, and they’ll open up their conference slate on the road in Arkansas for the fourth straight season.

After taking on the Arkansas State Red Wolves (Jan. 3) and Little Rock (Jan. 5), the Cajuns will return to the friendly confines of the Cajundome, taking on the Georgia State Panthers (Jan. 10), Georgia Southern Eagles (Jan. 12), and wrap up the three-game homestand against in-state rivals UL Monroe (Jan. 19).

The schedule will then switch to a weekend in Alabama against South Alabama (Jan. 24) and Troy (Jan. 26). They’ll then host the two Carolina schools in the Sun Belt in Appalachian State (Jan. 31) and Coastal Carolina (Feb. 2).

The Cajuns will spend much of February on the road with three-games on the road, including a pair of games against Georgia Southern (Feb. 7) and Georgia State (Feb. 9). They’ll wrap up their road trip on the 16th when they take on UL Monroe.

The conference slate will wrap up with a favorable end to the season with four of the last six games at the Cajundome. They’ll host UT Arlington (Feb. 21) and Texas State (Feb. 23) before hitting the road to take on Coastal Carolina (Feb. 28) and App State (Mar. 2). The Cajuns regular season will wrap up with home games against Little Rock (Mar. 7) and Arkansas State on March 9th to end the regular season.
