How Much Are You Spending On Easter Weekend?

Posted by dylanguillory on April 15, 2019 in Featured

How much are you spending on Easter this year? It is a holiday and as you know when it comes to the holidays we normally have to dig deep into our pockets to make sure everyone is happy. It seems like spending money we don’t have or can’t afford to spend is the right combination for having a happy holiday.

StoryBlocks

According to the National Retail Federation, the average person can expect to spend $151 this year. So what are we spending all of this money on?

According to the NRF we are spending our money on

  • candy
  • flowers
  • clothing
  • gifts
  • food
  • decorations

There is a new trend in spending this year and it is DIY (Do-it-yourself). The trend is now for DIY Easter baskets and decorations. Families are enjoying time together making memories before the actual holiday by making decorations and other gadgets for the holiday. Kids love these projects.

Another very interesting fact is more than 50% of the residents in the South plan to spend nothing on the holiday. The region which spends the most on Easter is Northeast.

The best part of the Easter holiday is the day after, Monday when all the candy is half price.
