The Sun Belt Conference unveiled their basketball conference schedule for both men’s and women’s basketball on Thursday and it will feature an 18-game slate.
Cajuns men’s hoops will spend four of their first six games in conference play on the road, starting on New Year’s Eve against the South Alabama Jaguars. The Cajuns will return to the Cajundome for a pair of games against Georgia State (Jan. 7) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 9) before going back out on the road the next week taking on UT Arlington (Jan. 14) and Texas State (Jan. 16)
Louisiana will then host UL Monroe on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The women’s basketball season will start inside the friendly confines of the Cajundome, hosting the South Alabama Jaguars on New Year’s Eve. Following the league opener, the team hosts Troy on Saturday, Jan. 2.
The non-conference schedule, including tip times will be announced for both programs at a later date.
