The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (2-1) traveled up north to Monroe, Louisiana to take on the ULM Warhawks (1-2) in Sun Belt Conference action. The Warhawks scored 14 unanswered points in the second half and rattled the Cajuns to upset Louisiana 21-17.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Louisiana started the scoring in the contest after holding ULM on the opening drive. Chandler Fields orchestrated a six-play, 76-yard drive that ended in a Fields rushing touchdown from nine yards out to make it 7-0 with 7:56 left in the opening quarter.

ULM answered less than a minute later when Andrew Henry took a hand-off 75 yards untouched to the house to tie it with seven minutes left.

The Cajuns took the lead back when Fields found Michael Jefferson over the middle and took off for a 50-yard touchdown to give Louisiana the 14-7 lead.

After a Courtline Flowers interception, Louisiana extended their lead to double digits on a Preston Stafford 38-yard field goal with 7:25 left in the first half.

In the fourth quarter, scoring resumed after a bad snap on a Cajuns punt gave ULM the ball in the red zone. Chandler Rogers ran it in from five yards out to make it 17-14 with 11:07 left in the game.

ULM scored again after an 89-yard reception from Rogers to Tyrone Howell sets up a Malik Jackson touchdown run to make it 21-17 Warhawks with 6:51 left.

An interception on the ensuing Louisiana drive was the nail in the coffin as ULM was able to upset the Cajuns and give Louisiana their second consecutive loss.

BIG NUMBER: 419

ULM compiled 418 yards of total offense on the Cajuns tonight, including 227 yards on the ground.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Andrew Henry

The junior from Dallas had a career night, rushing for 123 yards on 11 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown run.

UP NEXT: Louisiana (2-2) will return to Cajun Field to host South Alabama (3-1) for Homecoming. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on October 1st.
