Robinson is a 25-year-old ball carrier who got into the NFL in 2020 after going undrafted and signed with the Jaguars. The former Illinois State Redbird spent his first two and a half seasons in Jacksonville where he would put up over 1,400 yards from scrimmage and score 10 touchdowns.

Toward the end of the 2021 season, Robinson tore his Achilles tendon against the New York Jets in late December, a year where he recorded just under 1,000 yards and reached paydirt eight times.

Midway through the 2022 season, the Jags traded the young running back to the Jets for a day-three pick in the 2023 draft. Robinson only played in four games for New York and was released by the team at the end of the season.

This year, he played a total of one game with the Green Bay Packers in a December 3rd contest with the Kansas City Chiefs. Robinson finished the game with one carry for two yards.

Robinson will join a Saints backfield that has been highlighted by Alvin Kamara. Others like Jamaal Williams and Taysom Hill have been used in different ways. This signing is likely more for insurance purposes as Hill and rookie Kendre Miller are dealing with multiple injuries and may not be able to suit up for another game as the Saints host the New York Giants on Sunday, December 17th.

That game will be played in the Caesars Superdome at noon.
