After a 3-9 start to the 2024-2025 season, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have made a coaching change.
Bob Marlin, the winningest coach in program history, has been relieved of his duties effective immediately, according to a statement by the university.
“After an on-going evaluation of our men’s basketball program, it was decided a change was necessary,” Maggard said. “These decisions are never easy, and this one was not made hastily. I am extremely grateful for the leadership Bob Marlin has provided the past several years. We wish he and his family all the best moving forward.”
Assistant coach Derrick Zimmerman will serve in the interim as a national search will take place for the next men’s basketball coach.
Marlin went 269-198 in his 14 seasons with the Cajuns, winning three conference championships and appearing in two NCAA Tournaments.
