The Houston Astros have unveiled their new Nike City Connect uniforms.

The Houston Astros Nike City Connect 2.0 jersey stands on the path forged by the franchise’s first City Connect Space City jerseys, paying tribute to Houston’s contributions to space travel, while looking forward to the next sight ahead, blazing into the next frontier.

“We are thrilled to bring our new uniforms to our fans,” Astros Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications Anita Sehgal said. “They are the true inspiration for our second installment of City Connect. This uniform is an evolution of our first and most successful City Connect jersey launch – with a forward-looking approach to our future. Our fans have affectionately called our team the Stros with great love and passion.”

For the first time, the Astros have formally adopted a fan-favorite nickname for the team, with “Stros” prominently displayed across the chest of the jersey.

The trim and pinstriping for the new design showcase a lunar pattern that pays tribute to the history of the moon landing and the pursuit to return to the moon in the coming years. The rainbow gradient is a notable carryover from City Connect version 1.0 and is designed as a modern nod to the famous “Tequila Sunrise” pattern.

The hat logo follows the futuristic direction of the jersey, combining several elements together to form a new take on our traditional star. At the core sits the broken star painted in a rainbow gradient. The star is wrapped in a modified “A” which replaces the traditional “H.”

The “A” is inspired by concept art utilized throughout the team’s history.

The Astros will wear their new City Connect uniforms for the first time on Monday, March 31 against the San Francisco Giants. After that first game, they will be worn on Space City Monday home games throughout the season, as in years past.

Also new in 2025, there will be a City Connect Weekend, April 11-13, where the Astros will wear the new uniform all weekend, and there will be unique activations and City Connect-themed giveaway items.

The Houston Astros start the season at Daikin Park against the New York Mets on Thursday, March 27. The first pitch is set for 3:10 and can be heard on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles.
