Mauricio Dubón is no longer with the Houston Astros.

The two-time Gold Glove utility player was traded on Wednesday to the Atlanta Braves for infielder Nick Allen. Astros General Manager Dana Brown made the announcement.

The 31-year-old Dubón batted .241 with 21 doubles, 43 runs, 33 RBI, and had a .644 OPS in 133 games for the Astros this season. Dubón was used in a variety of positions for Houston as he played second base (37), shortstop (24), third base (15), left field (15), center field (10), right field (2), and first base (1).

Dubón ranked third among AL players in Outs Above Average with 19, behind only Kansas City Royals star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (25) and Boston centerfielder Ceddanne Rafaela (22).

Dubón spent parts of four seasons with the Astros, appearing in 485 games, while batting .256 with 24 home runs, 142 RBI, and a .659 OPS. He was also a World Series Champion and a two-time Gold Glove Award winner in his time with the Astros.

The 27-year-old Allen batted .221 with 11 doubles, 32 runs, 22 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 135 games with the Braves in 2025.

Allen was a finalist for the NL Gold Glove Award at shortstop this season after ranking fourth in Outs Above Average (17) in the NL. Allen has played in parts of four Major League seasons between the Athletics (2022-24) and Braves (2025).

He was originally selected by the Athletics in the third round of the 2017 MLB Draft from Francis Parker School in San Diego, CA.
