SAINTS PREVIEW: New Orleans takes first Miami trip since Super Bowl XLIV

The New Orleans Saints (2-9) will head to South Beach to face the Miami Dolphins (4-7) on Sunday afternoon.

Last time out, the Saints had a disappointing showing in a 24-10 loss to the Falcons. In the loss, the New Orleans red zone offense repeatedly could not capitalize on their opportunities.

The Dolphins enter Sunday having one two straight. Their most recent win came over the Commanders in Madrid.

Kickoff between New Orleans and Miami from Hard Rock Stadium is scheduled for noon on Sunday, November 30th.

GOOD MEMORIES
The Saints have not played in Miami Gardens since their Super Bowl win over the Colts in 2009. On that day, Drew Brees and company led the Black and Gold to their only Super Bowl Title.

In the game that would have been their return trip, it was moved overseas as an NFL International game.

With Thomas Morstead no longer in the roster, the Saints have zero players left from that team. Cameron Jordan was taken in the next draft after that victory.

RUNNING GAME QUESTIONS
With Alvin Kamara ruled out with injury, the Saints running game will be left in the hands of their younger running backs.

Devin Neal, Austin Estime, and Taysom Hill will likely be the only options to carry the football. The two younger backs have an opportunity to prove themselves and earn more playing time moving forward depending on their performance in this game.

DREAM CRUSHERS?
While the chances are still slim, Miami’s recent two-game surge has kept them alive in the AFC playoff race.

They would likely have to win out, but they do still have a chance as of now. The Saints have a chance to play spoiler on Sunday and slow that momentum.
