Houston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown has been named to the All-MLB Second Team, the league announced on Thursday.

The honor is the first in the career of Brown, who had another marvelous season in 2025. He finished the year with a 2.43 ERA over 185.1 innings of work. His 206 strikeouts and 6.1 wins above replacement both marked career highs.

Brown has increased his inning total each of his four seasons in the big leagues. He made the All-Star team for the first time in 2025 and was also third in the American League Cy Young voting.

The Houston Astros finished the season 87-75, just missing out on the playoffs. They will return in March of 2026, and you can listen to their games on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.
