It was a rough end to LSU’s (33-23, 15-15 SEC) regular season with Auburn (37-19, 15-15 SEC) demolishing them on Saturday afternoon by the score of 14-5.
How It Happened
Brandt Broussard started things off in the second with an RBI double out to left center to take the early lead. However, Auburn quickly responded with an RBI single through the right side from Eduoard Juilen.
Brett Wright made it a 2-1 ballgame in the third with a sac fly, but LSU evened things up in the fourth with a solo shot from Nick Coomes. Auburn’s offense then exploded in the bottom frame with a three-run blast from Luke Jarvis and a two-run home run by Will Holland to make it 7-2.
Things really got out of hand in the fifth with another pair of runs coming across courtesy of RBI singles from Jarvis and Jeremy Johnson. Auburn then officially put things out of reach in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run bomb from Julien.
AJ Labas dropped to 6-2 on the season allowing four runs off of five hits, walking one and striking out four on the afternoon.

LSU’s bats were cold for much of the ballgame and just couldn’t get it going at the plate as they struck out 12 times.
Player of the Game: Will Holland
Holland continued to have a great weekend on Saturday, getting a pair of home runs and a double on the afternoon.
