The Ragin’ Cajuns are keeping their man.
Louisiana has announced a multi-year extension with men’s basketball head coach Bob Marlin after appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.
The details of the contract have yet to be announced.
Louisiana is coming off a season that included the second most wins in program history, the first undefeated regular season in the Cajundome, and a Sun Belt Conference tournament championship.
The Ragin Cajuns played Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Orlando on March 16 and battled to a 58-55 loss to the Volunteers.
Marlin and the Cajuns went 26-7 on the season with a conference record of 13-5 that included key wins over Southern Miss, Marshall, Georgia Southern, and two wins against Texas State.
Jordan Brown was also named the Lou Henson National Player of the Year on Thursday, giving the Sun Belt its first winner of the Lou Henson Award. Marlin recruited Brown in high school and finally got him when he decided to transfer out of Arizona.
