There was only one run on the board on Sunday afternoon, but it was in favor of the Ragin Cajuns to take down Texas State (22-19, 10-8 SBC) 1-0.
The lone run came in the bottom of the seventh when Texas State loaded the bases on three straight walks by Anthony Pagano and Quinn Atwood. Chase Hodson was put in place of Atwood to try and end the inning. But it was the same result as Steven Sensley was walked on four straight balls to get Stefan Trosclair home.
Eric Carter got the win to improve to 2-0 allowing only one hit in one inning of work. Dylan Moore got his 10th save of the season allowing only one hit and striking out three in two innings of work.
The Cajuns (27-13, 12-6 SBC) will have a pair of midweek matchups starting on Tuesday on the road against Southern Miss (29-12) with first pitch set for 6 pm.
