Cajuns Complete Sweep of Coastal Carolina

Another weekend for the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (39-6, 20-1 Sun Belt) and they continue to roll on Sunday with an 8-0 victory over Coastal Carolina (29-21, 7-15 Sun Belt).

After Lexie Comeaux was walked with the bases loaded in the first, Corrin Voinche hit a three run double to center field, making it 4-0 early. Kelli Martinez made it 5-0 with an RBI single later in the first to increase the Cajuns lead.

The Cajuns found paydirt again in the fourth with an RBI double from Daniella Chavez and Voinche hitting an RBI single. The game was finished when Comeaux hit an RBI single to left field to end the game after five innings.

Alex Stewart pitched all five innings allowing one hit and striking out 10 to improve to 20-3 on the season.

The Cajuns will wrap up the regular season in Monroe when they take on the Warhawks (12-31, 6-14 Sun Belt) with first pitch of game one set for 1 pm.
