HOW IT HAPPENED:
The game began with the Cajuns getting a stop. Then, they executed well on their first drive, scoring a touchdown. It was Lunch Winfield finding Shelton Sampson Jr for the touchdown to make it 7-0.

Then, right before the half ended, Winfield found Sampson Jr in the back of the end zone for another score that extended the lead to 24-7 at halftime.
To start the second half, the Cajuns marched down and extended their lead once more. This time, Winfield scored on a keeper to make it 31-7.
South Alabama would battle back. Bishop Davenport scored from five yards out to make it 31-14. Then, the Jaguars took advantage of a missed field goal. That scored a 64 yard touchdown on the first play of the next drive on a pass to Jeremy Scott. They went for two and made it 31-22.
Down the stretch, the Jaguars drove down but were turned away at the goal line. Then, on their final possession, Jaden Dugger secured an interception to clinch the game for Louisiana.
