The Texas A&M Aggies (37-5) were resilient on Wednesday night after the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns put up 11 runs in the first three innings.
The Aggies began to get a rally going in the bottom of the fifth as they avoided getting run ruled with four runs highlighted by a solo shot from Samantha Show.
The Aggies scored in the sixth off of a wild pitch from Stewart. Kaitlyn Alderink would get it within two runs with a two run single. However, Tori Vidales struck out the next at-bat to give the Cajuns an 11-9 victory.
Alyssa Denham improved to 14-2 on the season allowing six runs off of nine hits and walked two in four and two-thirds innings of work.
The Cajuns will return to Lamson Park this weekend to take on Georgia State (28-17, 13-5 Sun Belt) with game one of a doubleheader on Saturday set for 2 pm.
