The Ragin Cajuns took care of business on Tuesday night, run ruling the UNO Privateers (30-21) in seven innings.
The Cajuns struck first in the top of the second with a double from Nick Thurman to score Steven Sensley. But the Privateers responded in the bottom half of the inning with a solo shot from Kyle Bracey to tie things up.
The Cajuns got the lead back and began to put the boots to the Privateers with a six run third inning capped off by a two run single from Joe Robbins. The onslaught continued in the fourth inning, scoring two more runs.
The Privateers got another run across in the bottom of the fifth off a throwing error by the third baseman, but the Cajuns proceeded to put the game away with seven runs coming in the sixth inning, highlighted by a two run double from Ishmael Edwards.
Wyatt Marks improved to 4-6 on the year allowing two runs off of three hits, wwalked three, and struck out seven batters in five innings of work.
The Cajuns (34-19) will return to the Tigue for the final weekend series of the season when they take on in-state rival UL-Monroe (20-32) with first pitch on Thursday set for 6 pm.
