The Ragin Cajuns completed the ninth inning rally on Tuesday night on the way to a 5-4 win over Nicholls State (10-15).
The Cajuns got on the board first after Brad Antchak reached home after a throwing error off of a hit from Stefan Trosclair in the top of the second.
The Colonels responded in the bottom of the third with a sacrifice hit by Smith that scored Manichia to tie things up.
Nicholls State took the lead in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs by Wehby and Flynn respectively. The Colonels continued to score in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single from Knauth to put the up 4-1.
Stefan Trosclair got the rally started in the top of the sixth with a solo shot to left field to cu t the lead in half.
The Cajuns were able to capitalize on another error by Nicholls State in the top of the 9th with two outs with a two run single by Nick Thurman along with Antchak reaching home yet again on a fielding error.
Reagan Bazar got his first win of the season shutting down the side in one inning of relief. Dylan Moore gets his sixth save of the season allowing one hit and walking one in one inning of work.
The Cajuns (16-9, 6-3 SBC) hit the road for a weekend series at Arkansas State (11-12, 3-6 SBC) with first pitch set for Friday at 6 pm.
